16th Little League parade returns; business owners excited for come-back | News, Sports, Jobs

The Little League Grand Slam Parade is back for the first time since 2019.

This will be the 16th Grand Slam Parade, which will kick-off the 75th Annual Little League World Series. The parade includes floats, special production numbers, marching band performances, food and merchandise vendors and more.

Local businesses in downtown Williamsport are delighted to hear that the parade will be returning.

“I feel fantastic – it’s very good for the community. I have been at this location for 27 years. We’ve been missing it, ”he said. Vinnie Guercio, Owner of Vinnie’s Italian Eatery, said.

“It’s very traditional in Williamsport. We like to see them come in every year, ” Guercio said.

“Little League is what people know Williamsport for – I think it’s amazing to be able to have the parade happening again for the community and for the small businesses down here,” said Hannah McClain, owner of Rise and Shine Nutrition.

There are currently open slots available for vendors and parade floats.

“We have spots for 12 vendors. All the information is out there online at www.grandslamparade.com – if anyone wants to plan on being at the parade they can find an application there, ” Jason Fink, president of The Williamsport / Lycoming Chamber of Commerce, said.

“We’re excited to be back doing this year’s Little League World Series and to be doing The Grand Slam Parade, and with all those associated with it,” Fink said.

The parade will begin on Monday, Aug. 15 at 5:30 pm on West Fourth Street in Williamsport.
