Adele Is Selling Nicole Richie’s Former House – DIRT

Now that she’s settled into her big new Los Angeles estate — the $58 million, Mediterranean villa-style mansion sold by Sylvester Stallone — it’s no surprise Adele is looking to sell some of her multiple other Beverly Hills homes. First up for grabs is this leafy property, which the English songstress famously acquired from her good friend Nicole Richie just last year.

Described in the listing as an “enchanting Hamptons-style estate,” Adele is willing to hand over the deed for $12 million. That’s a bump above the $10 million she paid Richie for the place in 2021, and it’s also considerably north of the $6.7 million Richie herself paid for the house, way back in 2015. Built in 1957 but since extensively renovated and expanded, the 5,500- square-foot residence includes three bedrooms, three full baths and one powder room, plus a large bonus room/playroom that could easily be a fourth bedroom.

The house is also located right next door to Adele’s former main residence, where she filmed a “73 Questions” Vogue feature last year. Located on a high-hedged corner lot within the 24/7 guarded Hidden Valley Estates community, the property sports a host of celebrity neighbors that include Jennifer Lawrence, Zoe Saldana, Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz.

Staged to sell, the home’s interiors include a main level with a library, family room and combo dining/living room. All those spaces are equipped with their own fireplaces, and all open directly to the lush backyard. The gourmet kitchen features a marble backsplash and premium stainless appliances. Upstairs, the primary suite is equipped with its own fireplace, plus dual walk-in closets and a bathroom with dual sinks and a soaking tub.

Also on tap are a laundry room, an “assistant’s office,” a gym and what the listing calls a “security room,” presumably a space where a bodyguard or other individual can monitor the home’s extensive surveillance equipment. Nearly every room on the main floor opens to the half-acre property’s backyard, all decked out with high-quality AstroTurf, a vegetable garden, fruit trees, a pool/spa combo and a sports court.
