McDougall Energy is looking for an organized, detail oriented and analytical individual as a Business Manager to support our Home and Business Markets with an emphasis on data management and analytical rigor. Reporting to the Vice President, Home & Business Markets, the Business Manager will be responsible for:

  • Preparing monthly dashboard summary reports.
  • Supporting monthly Stewardship meetings through the development of various reports and presentations.
  • Reviewing monthly operating expenses and quarterly capital expense detail reports to detect discrepancies and provide summary and assist with follow up.
  • Preparing Business Case proposals for Home and Business Market projects, with an emphasis on analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Supporting annual Tactical Plan development.
  • Supporting weekly Business Line meetings.
  • Account management and maintenance within our ERP system.
  • Coordinating any required updates to the Customer Intake System.
  • Coordinating cross functionally for customer documentation and implementation.
  • Monitoring customer concerns; may involve working cross functionally with various departments.
  • Acting as lead contact for internal communication across business streams & various departments.
  • Assisting training and implementation of new systems & processes with Territory Managers.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business
  • Two (2) to five (5) years’ experience analyzing sales data; industry experience an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills; Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proven experience in areas of data interpretation and the analysis of trends
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of data, strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; committed to deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to shift focus; adaptable to change
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic business environment
