Berks Launchbox presents a webinar “Grow Your Business with an Effective Strategic Marketing Plan,” 10 to11 am Brand management and innovation expert, Annie Hughes, will reveal how to construct an effective marketing plan roadmap to growth. This will include how to align marketing objectives to business goals, create value customers want, incentivize steps on the customer journey and more. Saturday, May 7th

Berks Launchbox presents a “STEAM Innovation Open House,” from 10 am to 2 pm At this hands-on open house, students in grades 4-12 will have the opportunity to solve a problem – just like an innovator. An experienced engineer will teach attendees how engineers think about how to get their jobs done. Groups will follow the engineering process to design a solution to a problem, build a prototype and test their designs. Drop in to work at hands-on stations around the room at any time and plan to spend at least an hour. Parent or guardian is required to stay with their student. The Manufacturers Resource Center presents a “Workshop for the Family in a Family Business,” from 8:30 to 10:30 am Attendees will receive coaching, practical hands-on exercises and engaging discussion. A Berks Alliance Community Forum, “Vital Community Assets: United Ways and Community Foundations” will be held starting at 11:30 am, virtually via Zoom. During the meeting, Keith Wardrip, community development research director at the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank who co-authored a report that analyzed grant-level data from community foundations and United Way organizations will share the findings. Tammy White, president of the United Way of Berks County, and Kevin Murphy, president of the Berks County Community Foundation, will highlight the work their organizations do for the region.
