A caring team of board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists, social workers, counselors and mental health clinicians will be ready to diagnose and treat a variety of emotional and behavioral problems. The goal is to provide full-service mental health care for children up to 17 years of age, regardless of their ability to pay. CHI joined community leaders to break ground on the project and construction is underway.
“There are nearly 200,000 children in Florida living with serious mental illnesses,” said Blake Hall, CHI President and CEO. “More than half of those kids don’t have access to these life transforming services. By bringing together South Florida celebrities, philanthropists and other notable guests united in their generosity, we get closer and closer to making CHI’s Children’s Crisis Center a reality.
