Faith Stowers spoke out amid the release of Stassi Schroeder’s new best-selling book and seemingly accused the Vanderpump Rules alum of “white privilege.“Stassi is celebrating her redemption after releasing her second book which landed atop the New York Times best-sellers list. The book follows Stassi’s road to rebranding herself after being fired from Bravo for being racially insensitive towards Faith. Now the alum is seemingly addressing Stassi’s new book release and how she was outwardly rewarded despite her controversial past.
Stassi took to Instagram last week to reveal her recently released book Off With My Head: The Definitive Basic B * tch Handbook to Surviving Rock Bottom landed on the New York Times best-sellers list. Stassi’s first book, Next Level Basic had also performed well earning her the nod back in 2019. Stassi teared up in the video clip she posted receiving the good news. It was her first shot at seeing how much support she can still garner despite being fired from Bravo in 2020 for a number of racially insensitive actions and remarks including teaming up with Kristen Doute to call the police on Faith and accuse her of a crime she didn ‘t commit.
Considering Stassi’s past actions towards her, and the fact that her new book shares how much Stassi has learned since being canceled, Faith is seemingly speaking out. Faith shared an Instagram Story post that appeared to be a response to Stassi’s best-seller news. “I think it’s a sad, sad time for our community when someone can use white privilege to try and destroy you and then use that same privilege to make money off of you,”Faith captioned the post, captured by All About The Tea. The timing of the seemingly subliminal message came amid Stassi’s revealing she had another best-seller. “Holy sh * t. Off With My Head is a New York Times Bestseller,“Stassi captioned the post.”It feels freaking unreal to be recognized twice“she noted.
Faith has been more vocal about alleged discrimination and mistreatment she was subjected to during her two seasons on VPR. Most recently, she exclusively told us about a lawsuit she’s preparing in response to Lala attacking her with a knife in season 4 that Stassi later confirmed was cut from the show. Longtime viewers of the show are aware of how Faith was ousted from the crew after sleeping with Jax Taylor while he was dating Brittany Cartwright. But the irony lies in the fact Stassi and Kristen teamed up to make false claims against Faith because of her hook-up with Jax despite Kristen betraying Stassi a few years prior by sleeping with Jax while they were dating. Stassi was able to forgive Kristen and maintain a friendship even though her best friend slept with her boyfriend behind her back.
Speed up to season 6 when Faith hooks up with Jax while he was dating Brittany, and the cast easily took issue with Faith while remaining close friends with Jax to this day. The obvious difference in treatment has pointed to issues of racism considering Faith was the only Black cast member to ever appear on the show. Faith’s subtle response to “white privilege“the Vanderpump Rules cast seemingly continues to benefit from is the latest in her ongoing gripes against the show. Meanwhile, fans of the show are wondering about its fate and if there will be a season 10 or a new spin-off following the controversial cast.
