CLEVELAND, Ohio – In another sign of return to normalcy following the pandemic, Free Comic Book Day returns to its regular date on the first Saturday in May for 2022. The 2020 event was canceled because of COVID-19, and was delayed until August in 2021.
Saturday, May 7, marks the return of the annual event, which started in 2002, and many local shops plan to have a selection of free comic books available for both existing customers and new readers. In addition, many stores also plan to hold additional activities, including hosting visiting artists and writers, and special promotions and sales throughout the day.
We’ve compiled a list of 20 locations in Northeast Ohio that are participating in the promotion this year. More information about the books that will be available can be found by visiting freecomicbookday.com.
