TikTok announces Shopping Ads in Mexico

In TikTok, brands have the possibility to develop campaigns that generate greater engagement with their audiences.

According to a TikTok study conducted in collaboration with the Material consultant, 44% of the people who use the platform a day want the brands’ content to be more entertaining.

“TikTok has become a platform where entertainment allows users to discover new products and services. Brands come to TikTok as a space to promote and launch their new products, which are well received by our community”, said Efraín Mendicuti, Director of Global Business Solutions at TikTok México.

“We are very excited to present this intelligent function that can maximize the reach of online campaigns and help brands provide better service to their clients in the different stages of the shopping journey”, added Efraín.

With the fully automated creative functions of TikTok, brands can make the content of their electronic commerce campaigns native and natural, and impact people with high purchase intentions while using the app.

To help brands connect with these communities interested in entertainment during the shopping trip, Shopping Ads has three advertising formats currently in testing:

Video Shopping Ads: this format allows brands to highlight one or several products with video ads in the TikTok feed. The objective is to expand the reach of the discovery of products and increase both the purchase intention and the conversions.

Advertisement by catalog

With this format, companies can scale their product catalogs in TikTok and expand the reach of their advertising.

Los products pueden promocionarse como “Recommended products” or “Products related” in the Para ti section of the platform.

The catalog of announcements is currently in testing in the United States.

Anuncios de compra en vivo

With this format, brands can drive sales through the For You feed during TikTok lives.
