Who is Jack Harlow? Rapper ruined by NBA referees at Celtics v Bucks game

This big-name star is being mocked online after a pair of NBA referees had no idea who he was at today’s Celtics-Bucks game.

A senior moment between two NBA referees has gone viral after they ruined a celebrity sitting courtside at Monday’s Celtics-Bucks playoff game.

The home team will often acknowledge the big names in the crowd by displaying them on the jumbotron during a time-out – but the appearance of one star left these two whistleblowers flummoxed.

“Who is Jack Harlow?” longtime NBA referee Scott Foster asked his offsider Ed Malloy.

“I have no idea?” Malloy replied.

“He’s the guy over here, right here. He’s in that white shirt, behind you, ”Foster persisted.

“Yeah, who is he?” Malloy responded.

“I do not know. Go ask him, ”Foster finished.

It drew laughs from the commentary crew during Milwaukee’s 101-89 game one win, who explained Harlow is “one of the top rappers in the game right now”.

The Kentucky artist is establishing himself in the music industry with a growing resume of chart-topping songs and business ventures.

The young musician has earned millions of dollars and a Billboard Hot 100 number 1 spot at just 24 years old.

Harlow began to take off after he was introduced and later signed to Don Cannon and DJ Drama’s record label Generation Now, an imprint of Atlantic Records.

Since then he has co-founded the music collective Private Garden.

His mother, Maggie Payette, was a fan of rap music and often played Eminem songs when he was a baby so it came as no surprise when Jack began rapping at age 12.

His major break came when his single “What’s Poppin” peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100.

Throughout his career, Jack has collaborated with big names like Lil Wayne, Tory Lanez and Chris Brown.

In 2021, he featured on Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby.” The song reached number one on the Billboard’s Hot 100 charts, becoming Harlow’s highest charting song in his career.
